consignment process

  • We want to offer high quality clothing that is current and stylish. That is why we are picky about what we take for consignment. Please do not be offended if we do not accept your items on consignment.
  • We prefer designer labels and labels from boutiques (see example page) but are not brand specific.
  • We accept clothing that has been purchased within the past 2 years, is in season and in great condition. Clothing should be clean, pressed and on hangers. We do NOT accept bags of clothing.
  • We will accept vintage clothing and accessories.
  • You need to have at least five accepted items to begin a consignment account.
  • Ladies sizes 0-24 including maternity wear, Girls size 14 and up, and Harley clothing.
  • All designer labels must be authentic or disclosed to U-Turn as faux/fake (i.e. purses).
  • We do not accept furs.
  • You may drop off items up to 2 times during a consignment period - we operate on a four season cycle.
  • We will accept items on Wednesdays and Sundays or by appointment ONLY (see hours for details).
  • U-turn operates on a 60 day resale cycle.
  • We like to inspect your items while you wait. However, if we are busy, we may ask you to drop off your items for later inspection. Items we are unable to accept may be picked up or we can donate them for you.
  • If items are pulled from the floor before the consignment period is over, you will be notified by phone or email; you have 10 days to pick up your items or they will be donated.
  • We pay 40% of the selling price to the consignor.
  • If you use the money in your account towards a store purchase, you can receive 10% off an item(s) per every $10 in your account(excludes markdown and local artists items). For example, $30 will allow you to get 10% off 3 items. Excluding artists inventory.
  • You may request a check up to 2 times per consigning period once your account is above $20.
  • We do not issue or mail checks unless we hear from the consignor to settle the account. Checks will be ready on the following Wednesday.

We look forward to doing business with you.
